  • Loose-fitting clothing is best, but if you are just coming from work or school and don’t have time to change, I will always have some comfy shorts or pants for you to borrow.

  • Getting blood taken at the hospital or a needle from a vaccination are a completely different sensation than an acupuncture needle.

    Acupuncture needles are so thin that you could fit 100 of them into the shaft of your pen!

    There may be a slight pokey sensation upon insertion, but there should not be an unpleasant sensation after that. You should always be able to fully relax with the needles in place.

  • This will depend on a few factors. If your condition is acute ( less than 3 weeks of discomfort ) , it may be cleared up in just a few visits. If it is more chronic ( more than 3 weeks of discomfort ) then it may take longer.

    I would always recommend to book at least 2-3 appointments in quick succession. If the condition is resolved before the 3rd treatment we can always cancel :) .

  • Veteran’s affairs is the only insurance company that would require a doctor’s referral notice.
